My love of photography started after my son Oliver was born. I grew frutrated with how long my point and shoot camera took to focus before taking a photo. Oliver had often moved or stopped doing whatever I was trying to capture by the time the camera had caught up. This led me to purchase my first DSLR, a Nikon D3100 with kit lenses. Suddenly I had a much faster auto focus and was able to get the shots that I was after. My new camera had all these new buttons and controls that I had no idea how to use and through trial and error over the next year or so I taught myself how to use my DSLR to it's full potential. It has been a continual learning curve - one which I'm still on.
